With a year that finally saw moves towards women in dance music receiving some long overdue recognition, as well as a resurgent interest in UK breakbeat culture, it’s kind of odd that there hasn’t been a huge flurry of renewed attention towards DJ Storm.
As one of the original Metalheadz crew alongside Goldie and the sadly departed Kemistry, Storm helped to redefine Jungle during its transition into Drum and Bass at the now legendary Blue Note sessions. She joins us for a 2 hour set exploring the sounds played at those formative nights. It’s gonna be pretty special.
Joining her are Body Motion DJ Together Dance Music and the wider Rye Wax crew exploring the recent strands and origins of breakbeat culture.
