TOTAL RECALL (Darren Marsh) is a young D&B producer who broke through with releases on labels such as,
PLAYAZ, INNERGROUND, RADIUS & CHRONIC.
He’s a familiar face in Birmingham UK where he mainly brings the D&B goodness.
The future is looking great for this young man.
M_A asked him a few Qs.
Not long ago i saw you in Birmingham at the Custard factory.From what i experienced that night the vibe has changed quite a bit.
Do you think the D&B scene in Birmingham has changed?
Yes I do believe that in the last few years the dnb scene has changed but over the past 12 months it’s been coming back stronger, theres has been some amazing parties in Birmingham over the years and there is some huge parties still to come! Long live the Birmingham D&B scene.
You have played D&B sets in Birmingham for quite a while.
Would you say this your most favourite city to DJ in?
Well I have played some immense parties in cities around the U.K and globe including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bristol, Wales, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Amsterdam and more. For me to choose a favourite is very hard but I’m going to have to say Antwerp in Belgium!
You’ve already had releases on some great labels.
Any releases lined up for 2015?
At the moment I’m currently finishing my single for Dj Marky’s Innerground Records (one of the tracks is featuring vocalist “Kymberley Myles”), my EP for Dj Hype’s New Playaz label and then have a couple of remixes that will be coming out on Run Tingz Recordings.
What’s your favourite summer D&B track?
This is very, very hard for me to choose as their is so many classic summer vibe D&B tracks but if I had to choose one it would without a doubt be “Dj Marky ft Stamina Mc – LK” and if I’m allowed to squeeze a second one in there it would have to be “D.Kay & Epsilon – Barcelona”
What are you particularly looking forward to this summer?
I have to say the things im looking forward to for this coming summer is performing at Innovation In The Sun in Barcelona in June, then an open air festival in Sofia which is the capital city of Bulgaria and finally a huge open air D&B Summer Convention that will be taking place in Birmingham on July 4th with such brands as Raveology, Low Down Deep, Next Hype & HighGrade all involved in making it happen so that is set to be a BIG ONE!
