Last 14 years have gone by so quickly for London based Irishman Zero T.

ย But it all actually started back in 98 in Dublin.

ย With the lengendary ” Bassbin night” which had strong support from Fierce,Ed Rush & Matrix.ย Zero T has also worked with the likes of Calibre, 4 Hero, Klute, Alix Perez, Rockwell & Noisia.ย

2008 we heard his iconic release on Cheap Shots LP on CIA Records which features Walk Away with Steo gracing the vocals.ย Since then Zero T production has been fully diverse from full vocal smoothness to the more darker techy styles.

ย Releases on labels such as Subtitles, Shogun, Soul:r & Signature.

The list is never ending.ย Zero T launched his own record label back in 2010 “FOOTPRINTS”.

Which he did a feature mix for Fabric Live 052.

ย After a short break Zero T came back in 2014,since then he’s collabed with Beta 2 & released an EP, Roxy Music on Dispatch Recordings.

ย So lets get some more info.

Q & A Zero T.

ย 14 years have past so quickly.

What have been the main changes you have noticed within the music industry?

The main differences are the global nature of the current scene..new artists are as likely to come from ukraine as from Uk…the other major change is that its no longer viable to make a living off being just a producer.

When i came up the likes of Photek and Dillinja never dj’d..even Calibre was reluctant at first..i think this a real shame..as often in the past its been a non djing producer from outside the scene who changes the direction of things.

You’ve been based in London for a while.

What were the main reasons behind moving from Dublin to London?

Simply the chance to be at the heart of it and make a living from gigging..besides the extensive UK circuit, its also easier to get anywhere from London than it is from Dublin.

ย FOOTPRINTS was launched back in 2010.

Some great high quality producers featured but not alot has happened since.

ย Are you in the process of organising upcoming releases or have you knocked the whole record label on the head?

FOOTPRINTS is still alive and well.. nothing concrete in motion at the moment..buts its definitely something for the future.

ย Back in December 2014 there was an official announcement from Ant Tc1 about your 2nd studio album being released this Summer.

Us D&B fanatics are highly excited.
I’ve heard there’s a few collaborations.

Who are they?

My last LP Cheap Shots was nearly all collaborarive or feat guest vocalists…this time i’ve limited it to three tracks..two with my Dublin brother Beta2 and one with Fierce, who I am collaborating with on a regular basis now.

& how did it all start?

Any remixes we can look forward to (cheeky VIPS)?

It started as an ep to follow up Roxy Music Ep from 2012..Ant just kept signing tunes and it became and LP…

The Lp will also feature a VIP of Roxy Music itself.

ย Are any of the tracks personally dedicated to anyone?

ย Yes.. yes they are.

ย Will there be any Launch event for your new album this summer?

My agents www.bassic.co are organising those as i write…some super special guests to be announced too…keep an eye on the social media for updates soon.

ย Will this be your main release this year?

Or can we expect more?

Well.. it’s my only LP this year.
I also have tracks coming on Soul:r called Piano Clap..one on SGN:LTD Lp called One For Me..another two 12s ready for Quarantine with Fierce (QRN2003 and QRN2004) ..remixes of Antony Granata + Ted Ganung and Clart ft Elijah John all dropping in the coming months…expect some more Metalheadz appearances later in the year.

Many Thanks Zero Tย
