Hi my name is John Marshall (MR:L), Co Founder of Deep Space Records UK.
How did Deep Space come about?
Deep Space was founded back in 2013 by myself and two other friends who all have the same passion for Drum And Bass. Playing gigs at glastonbury festival and boomtown that year made us realise we have some thing special so we decided to create Deep Space Records UK a platform for us to realise are own mixes and music.
Bristol has always had a strong drum and bass scene basically since day dot. What will Deep Space bring to the DnB fans?
Deep Space presents will be bringing you the finest Drum and Bass around today and yesterday, showcasing all sub genres of drum and bass from liquid jazzy vibes to Jump up vibes. At deep space we love all types of drum and bass – it’s what makes the genre so special to us.
Tell us something more about your upcoming event?
This month we are hosting Deep Space Presents at Basement 45 8 frogmore street Bristol; check the event out here. The club has two rooms with amazing sound systems. We love basement 45.
On our Lineup this month we have: BEN SOUNDSCAPE (INTRIGUE MUSIC). Ben is one half of the bristol duo The Insiders and the founder of Intrigue Music Record label and Club night.
PENNYGILES – We have been very impressed with pennygiles releases over the last few years. He has had releases out on some big labels in the drum scene including INNERGROUND, FIZZY BEATS and IM:LTD .
PHASE 2 – Making the most wonderful mellow jazzy liquid drum and bass around today having releases on labels such as FOKUZ RECORDINGS, SOUL DEEP RECORDS, INFLUENZA MEDIA.
Plus Deep Space residents – MR:L, MILLSTONE, SLEEPYLION, PRADERZ, DIGGERZ
In room 2 we have GROOVE YARD hosting. The groove yard crew will playing the best in Jungle Uk Bass and Garage has to offer with Amen Shemen headlining the room.
We are open 10 pm until 4 a.m
