The Halloween weekend is soon upon us and what better way to spend it than raving? Planet V Recordings have gathered some big names for you so you can enjoy quality drum and bass on Saturday night at Cable in London. Some of the DJ’s playing are LTJ Bukem, Bryan Gee, Die, Krust, Mr Joseph, Eveson, Artificial Intelligence, Ruffstuff and many more. And how about Conrad, MC Lowqui, K-Eye and Jenna G for some of the hosts?
I had a couple of questions for Jordan V about this night and here are the answers…
Who are making this night happen?
Planet V is being arranged by V Recordings. Bryan G and myself Jordan V are fronting the event, but it’s a team effort from everyone on the label. Since we’ve stopped Movement at Bar Rumba, we’ve been itching for a new home.
How long have you guys been doing this?
Planet V was first running back in 1997. We were the first label night in Jungle, doing many sell out events at places like Bagleys, The End and the very first opening night of Fabric. We’ve done events at various other venues including, Ministry, 93 Feet East, Cargo, Turnmills, Home and Plan B to name some. The point of the nights is to showcase the label sound, newest music and artists on V.
Who do you
ย think will enjoy the night?
Anyone who likes the full spectrum of Jungle/Drum ‘n’ Bass. Unlike other labels, V doesn’t have one sound or style. Yes we have an identity that people know us for, but across V, Chronic, Liquid V and Philly Blunt we have different sounds that we believe represents all corners of Jungle music. Most people know what to expect from our parties. Pure vibes, good mix of people, tough sound system and top class Drum ‘n’ Bass music.
What can we expect on the night?
As above, new Junglists, old Junglists, fresh new V exclusives (we always break new tunes at Planet V), old classics and everyone going crazy. Tickets have almost all gone, so expect a line round the block. It’s gonna be off the hook. Don’t miss this one.
Thanks Jordan and see you on the dancefloor!
