Probably one of the most underrated producers/DJ’s (His set at Dreamscape 10 is a MUST track down) over the years and liquid DnB stalwart returns on V Recordings with his new EP. V recordings always bring to the table that perfect combination of soulful melodies with beats that are tough enough to make you jump around the floor and this release certainly retains those standards. Solina is the antithesis of the V sound with uplifting strings,old school house vocal samples, throbbing bassline, and crunching beats. If you’re looking for a track which you can use to take you from a liquid vibe into a slightly harder sound this is the one for you.  The second track ‘How We Used to Live’ harks back to Peshay’s older ‘Good Looking Records’ sound meshed with the unmistakable V style.  A haunting movie score sample opens the track building to a crescendo when choppy breaks and a wobbly bassline take control. It’s hard to describe this one, as it certainly sounds fresh but retains just enough of the old school to take you back in time  to the days of pony tails, bomber jackets and the whistle posse!  (That’s if you do remember those days of course!)
