After some greats shows at Amusement13 we make a visit to the slightly more intimate, but no less vibrant setting of another of Birmingham’s favourite venues; The Hare and Hounds….with two of the finest.
Calibre joins us following the heralded releases of his 7th and 8th LPs; Grow’ on Craig Richard Nothing Special label and ‘The Deep’ on his own Signature Records, with a further 2 LPs and an essential mix in the pipe line. Truly one of electronic music’s most prolific, and inspiring artists, he’ll be testing and treating us to a plethora of new material again, that no doubt will go to be an integral part of the musical landscape for years to come.
Nobody does it quite like DRS. His early talent from the Good Looking years has been grafted into a true lyrical craft. His long time friendship and hosting for Calibre and Marcus Intalex grew alongside now classic collaborations on their Signature and Soul:r imprints. He’s given us 2 ground breaking and landmark LPs in ‘I Don’t Usually Like MC’s But…’ and ‘Mid Mic Crisis’. Recognition has come with awards in recent years, but as his latest ‘I Will EP’ tells, his motivation is only to Spread Love and make us Smile.. Loudly.
