Randall presents Mac II. For more than two decades, the UK DJ and producer has been at the forefront of the jungle and drum & bass scene, widely regarded as one of the styleโ€™s most important visionaries. In the early 90s he helped merge breakbeat and hardcore with the then burgeoning jungle movement, before setting up his acclaimed label, Mac II. The imprint became a home for a clutch of D&Bโ€™s leading figures, and has remained a vital pillar for the sound through the years. For his Mac II showcase with us, Randall invites some of his label signees and closest affiliates to join him. Prepping for a special head-to-head are two longstanding veterans of the scene, Krust and Die. Both artists were instrumental in shaping FABRICLIVEโ€™s early days alongside Randall, and are still vital forces in pushing innovative, high-energy drum & bass today. Theyโ€™re flanked by star of the new school Chimpo, whose forward-thinking productions can be found on labels like Exit and Critical. Mac II artists Flex and Trex also go back-to-back, while Madcap steps up with LJ High. Rounding things off behind the decks, we welcome Biological Beats key face, Traumatize. Stepping in to take on hosting, we welcome a crew of D&Bโ€™s first-rate MCs: GQ, Moose, Inja, Fatman D, and Marga.
