For 10 consecutive Fridays throughout July, August and September, Calibre brings some vey special guests to the XOYO booth…
Inspirational, humble, irreplaceable – these are the sentiments that appear again and again in the emotional swell of tributes that have emerged from the global drum ‘n’ bass underground to salute Manchester’s quiet low-end godfather, Marcus Intalex.
The artist’s sudden passing has been met with a deep, nostalgic realisation at just how far his influence as a DJ, producer and mentor extends. And that’s not to mention everyone’s love of his dry Northern wit and no-nonsense wisdom.
For this very special show, there’ll be a selection of unannounced guest who will be appearing on the night.
We will also be hosting a workshop in conjunction with the Marcus Intalex Music Foundation. More info to come.
Green Room: Caibre’s Dub Lab
We’ve installed Sinai Sound System and RC1 to power the green room aka Calibre’s Dub Lab every Friday. Over the weeks, Calibre has invited a variety of guests to play dub sets in addition to some of his own dub heroes.
