In line with one of the most important events in the London calendar, we celebrate sound system culture at the head of one of the biggest weekends of the year – Carnival.

In Room One we welcome Rum’N’Riddim – a night with three years history in the capital, they have shown them selves to be front of the charge when it comes to representing the best in Jamaican and Tropical-infused bass music. Covering ground across Dancehall, Jungle, Reggae, Grime & Afrobeat the Rum’N’Riddim crew have secured some of the leading artists in these sounds with local figurehead CASisDead and certified pioneer Kenny Ken heading the bill. Also in the house are roots-king Kiko Bun, self-confessed ‘riddim obsessives’ Jus Now, NTS resident Neptizzle, and rising MC talent Yizzy. Plus all this is hosted by the mighty Ragga Twins.

In Room Two Bailey and Need for Mirrors bring Soul In Motion back for another high-spec addition to their takeover series at FABRICLIVE. It’s a community vibe all the way at SIM and for this special Carnival edition they have brought together some of the leading pioneering forces from the deeper end of the 170bpm spectrum. Making his Soul in Motion debut Om Unit is set to go B2B with Kid Drama for a special head to head session while Mark System marks the release of his first EP for the label. Finally, DNB originals Carlito & Addiction complete the bill. All come with full backing on the Pioneer Pro Audio system and there’s still a very special guest announcement still to be revealed on 4th August.

FABRICLIVE – The home of UK underground music.
